The greatest news of all:
Monday, January 19 LAS VEGAS (Hollywood Reporter) - Syndicated sci-fi dramas "Mutant X" and "Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda" have been renewed for their fourth and fifth seasons, respectively, producer Tribune Entertainment said Sunday.
Both weekly shows have been cleared for their new seasons on Tribune stations and other outlets in more than 140 markets, representing more than 85% of the country, Tribune Entertainment CEO thingy Askin said.
Included in the lineup are top-market Tribune stations WPIX in New York, KTLA in Los Angeles, WGN in Chicago, WPHL in Philadelphia, WLVI in Boston and KWGN in Denver.
Tribune Entertainment last week also inked a licensing deal with the Sci Fi Channel for the first four seasons of "Andromeda" as well as all 22 original episodes of its fifth season beginning in the fall.
I'm way too happy for words. ;D

I was sooooo happy when I found out!! I was worried that this was gonna be the last season because of all stuff going on, lawsuits and stuff. But I hear the ratings of this season are very high, so who wouldn't want to keep MX around! I'm just pumped!!!!!!

This is the first I've heard this--I literally screamed with excitement when I read this!!! GREAT NEWS!! Thanks, Blackpanther for posting this, you made my week!!! I too was afraid this would be the last season as well due to all rumors and such I've been reading. Yippy!! My only fear is that now they will drag out the whole Bren/Shal thing for a lot longer now if they still have at least 2 and half more seasons to play with and develop them. But I am so excited that we'll be able to watch them grow together (hopefully not apart!!) over the next few years!!! Thanks again for posting this!!

I'm not the least bit surprised it was renewed. In fact I think the show is BETTER than the first two seasons. I love season three more than I do season one or two. As much as I hate to say it, taking Emma and Adam off was probably a lifesaver. The personalities are compatable now.

I can't really disagree with you cause I haven't seen any this season yet, but I kinda liked season one and the depth into mutants and their lives it went. Because it was the first season, it introduced everything in and I liked that...

Season one was very corny and I'm surprised it lasted past it, but at the same time I still watched it because I saw potential. When season two started it shook off a lot of the cornyness and actually made sense in a logical way. Then of course, season three started and it's almost as if it's brand new again! In a way it is because it's lost two main characters.

I see what you mean. But then when it's not the original cast, then it would seem new. I think that's what they're trying this season and next...I think they're trying to give off a totally different feeling to season one and two...but don't quote me on that! I have no idea! lol

Speaking of not quoting someone, it has come to my attention that when a series lasts to it's fourth season the really popular ships' become really shippy I'm hoping things between Shalimar and Brennan progress even further. The rest of this season will be testy and I think we've seen about as much as we're going to see.

What would really be awesome is if they made a Mutant X movie! But I doubt they ever will. It's a rarerity a syndicat series is made into a move.
